There's
a saying in Colorado, "If you don't like the
weather--wait 5 minutes. It'll change."
That's certainly true of Estes Park, Colorado
too.
Winter But the
one thing we've found is that when the TV is
showing snow in the mountains, and the I-70
corridor is getting socked in, we don't usually
get any of that snow. We have had a tendency to
get Wyoming snow when it dips down from Canada.
We've found the weather to be
really quite nice. It seems to run about 5
degrees colder than Denver. So, for example, it
was 3 degrees here in early November--but it was
8 in Denver at the time. We've also observed that
a few times it's been grey and yucky on the Front
Range, and sunny and beautiful up here. So watch
for temperature inversions--that means it's most
certainly warmer up here.
Summer weather
tends to run about 10 degrees cooler than Denver.
And don't believe the readout on the bank coming
into town--it's NEVER right!!!
It's always a great time to come
to Estes Park!
Do bring fleece in the winter.
And remember--our weather can be warm or
cold--any time of the year--and it can change
quite rapidly. It's great! So bring clothes for
all kinds of weather.
