From
Denver International Airport: Take
E-470 toll road (saves you a half hour and enough
mileage to justify the $3.50 in tolls) west to
I-25. Proceed N on I-25 to Hwy 66 (last
Longmont exit). Go left (west) to Lyons,
and follow the directions in next paragraph from
Lyons. Should be around an hour and a half
total. From Denver or Boulder or points
South, the shortest route is to take Highway
36 through Boulder, and stay on 36
through Lyons and right into Estes Park. Once you
break out of the mountains, you'll see the
breathtaking view of the mountains that ring the
Estes Valley. Lake Estes will be on your right.
You'll hit the first stop light about then--it's
where Highway 7 joins 36. The next stoplight (by
McDonald's) is the intersection of 34 and 36.
Turn Left onto Highway 34, and it becomes
Elkhorn--the main drag of Estes Park. The next
light is a crosswalk. The next one is Riverside
Drive (by Dairy Queen). Turn left once again, and
we're about 1 1/2 blocks on your left.
From Loveland, Greeley, Fort Collins,
or points North and East, follow Highway
34 from Loveland. Once you break out of
the canyon you'll see Lake Estes on your left.
The first stoplight is the intersection of 34 and
36 (by McDonald's). Continue straight on through
this intersection,and it becomes Elkhorn--the
main drag of Estes Park. The next light is a
crosswalk. The next one is Riverside Drive (by
Dairy Queen). Turn left once again, and we're
about 1 1/2 blocks on your left.
